Robert Downey Jr. is the most mature Hollywood Celebrity in Hollywood industry for the last four decades. As the child of the writer, director and filmographer Robert Downey Sr. and actress Elsie Downey (née Elsie Ann Ford), he was born on April 4, 1965, in New York, Manhattan.
His career has many flip-flops’, just unlike many other actors in Hollywood industry. Exoteric success in his early life followed by a substance abuse and legal troubles, and a resurgence of commercial success in middle age.
Downey’s father is of half Lithuanian Jewish, one quarter Hungarian Jewish, and one quarter Irish descent, while Downey’s mother had Scottish, German, and Swiss ancestry. Robert Downey Jr. and his older sister Allyson grew up in Greenwich Village.
Hollywood celebrity, Robert Downey Jr. was addicted to drugs since the age of six, gone after his father addiction. This Hollywood celebrity married Debora Falconer on May 29, 1992 and have a son named Indio Falconer Downey. During his rehabilitation period from drugs they got separated and finalized their divorce on April 26, 2004. Falconer took their son with her.
Robert again married Susan Levin on August 2005 in a Jewish ceremony at Amagansett, New York. They have two children, a boy and a girl, which completes their happy family ever after.
